Hello from my new place: living the life as an employee
Last month, I got
a call for an interview and fortunately, I got the job. Hence I left my peaceful
and humble lifestyle back in Salatiga for a busy day job's life. Before I write
more about my job, I’ll share the bits of what’s happened last month.
I got the news
that I’ve been accepted on October 6. Previously I said that I probably can only start
working on October 24 but the boss said that it would be better if I can fly to
Jakarta immediately. So with a little preparation, I left my hometown on October
11 and start working on October 12. I know it’s crazy and I was already grimaced
at the thought that I have to spend money on more airplane tickets since
the boss will let me go back to Salatiga for 4 days to attend my graduation
ceremony. But I was so grateful that the company paid for my airplane tickets and taxi for my graduation day.
Here are some pics
taken from my graduation ceremony!
I was the best
graduate from my faculty for this graduation period so instead of sitting with
my friends, I was at the front rows with the other best graduates. What was
good about being the best graduate is probably the money I got as a gift lol.
And as for the job,
now I’m working in the HR department. So far it’s a nice and interesting
job tho as an introvert it’s quite a challenge when I have to deal with various
kinds of people. But it’s also pleasing to be able to apply what I've learned while learning another thing that is called real life.
My workplace is
decent—not the kind of office life with modern buildings and stuff but—a conducive one in which I can enjoy myself here
and not feel intimidated by the other co-workers.
I don’t really have any complaint
I guess? My life is kinda smooth-sailed lately.
Oh, but my
laptop is acting like shit since I moved here. Yeah... time to save money to
buy a new laptop.
Bye!
