Hello from my new place: living the life as an employee

Last month, I got a call for an interview and fortunately, I got the job. Hence I left my peaceful and humble lifestyle back in Salatiga for a busy day job's life. Before I write more about my job, I’ll share the bits of what’s happened last month.

I got the news that I’ve been accepted on October 6. Previously I said that I probably can only start working on October 24 but the boss said that it would be better if I can fly to Jakarta immediately. So with a little preparation, I left my hometown on October 11 and start working on October 12. I know it’s crazy and I was already grimaced at the thought that I have to spend money on more airplane tickets since the boss will let me go back to Salatiga for 4 days to attend my graduation ceremony. But I was so grateful that the company paid for my airplane tickets and taxi for my graduation day.

Here are some pics taken from my graduation ceremony!

I was the best graduate from my faculty for this graduation period so instead of sitting with my friends, I was at the front rows with the other best graduates. What was good about being the best graduate is probably the money I got as a gift lol.

And as for the job, now I’m working in the HR department. So far it’s a nice and interesting job tho as an introvert it’s quite a challenge when I have to deal with various kinds of people. But it’s also pleasing to be able to apply what I've learned while learning another thing that is called real life.

My workplace is decentnot the kind of office life with modern buildings and stuff buta conducive one in which I can enjoy myself here and not feel intimidated by the other co-workers.

I don’t really have any complaint I guess? My life is kinda smooth-sailed lately.

Oh, but my laptop is acting like shit since I moved here. Yeah... time to save money to buy a new laptop.

Bye!

Summary of September

Fresher’s weeks and carnival

On Saturday, as I was stuck in traffic after I went back from church, I watched the carnival. It kinda reminds me of that time when I was a fresher because I also had to join the carnival. It might look colorful and fun on the outside but when I was in their position, it wasn’t as merry as it looks. Also, the weather at that time was pretty hot and they were wearing blacks so it must be killing. And for those who wear such beautiful yet bothersome costumes, I’m sure that must be hell for them. Nevertheless, people in town obviously enjoy the treats so I should say good job freshers you guys did great!

Djoeng’s graduation

The picture's quality isn't that great and I'm the shortest of 'em all D: Funny thing is Djoeng got a problem because of this setup. Her mom was convinced that Vincent is somehow her boyfriend and the flower was from him lmao. It was hilarious XD

As I write this, my best friend is currently staying in Vietnam. She will be there for six weeks and honestly, I’m not sure if I’m gonna meet her anytime soon when she’s back.

Alright... back to the picture, On September 27 she finally finished law school. Congratulation girl, wish you luck for the next step of your life :)

Lunch with friends (and farewell party in disguise lol)

So the next day after Djoeng’s graduation, me and Djoeng treated Vincent, Indra, Rifai, and Morty for some lunch. It was a really great 3 hours with delicious meals and fun conversations. I hope they’ll also finish law school soon <333

Now I’m waiting for a job call and/or preparing for job interviews. Also, since I decided to join the graduation ceremony as well, I’m waiting for October 22 (sad that Djoeng will not be there tbh). I’m kinda anxious at the moment because major life changes must happen soon but yeah... life must go on.

See you in the next post :D

Welcoming a new life

Hello! Been so long since the last blog post. But I gotta tell you that I graduated from Law School last month.

During those months when I didn’t blog, I used the time to work on my thesis, helping mom’s catering and helping my lecturer. I finished the thesis at the end of July as I targeted, but the administration took me a month (wew)!

At last, I am a bachelor of law now.

With Vincent. His face looks annoying as ever lol

With Indra. Good thing he didn't forget that day was my important day XD

With Djoeng. My best friend during law school and hopefully, 'till forever.

Uhm... you can guess?

I graduated with cum laude and I am most definitely feel grateful for that. At the moment, I’m still thinking whether I’m going to join the graduation ceremony or not. I kinda don’t want to do all those bothersome stuff like make-up and wearing kebaya yet on the other hand, a graduation ceremony is a pride (well, mostly for parents. I honestly don’t really care about this so-called ‘pride’).

And also, I’m finally at the phase where I have to find a job. It’s both exciting and frightening but I gotta do it anyway. Wish me luck.
